The accident victim was identified as Akash Gupta, a resident of Patra village under the jurisdiction of Pipraich police station. The seven other injured kanwariyas were rushed to a nearby hospital for medical attention.

Two injured were later referred to Baba Raghav Das BRD Medical College for more extensive treatment, while the remaining five were discharged after receiving first aid.
