Billionaire Investor And Businessman Rakesh Jhunjhunwala Dies at 62

Veteran investor Rakesh Jhunjhunwala died in Mumbai from kidney and diabetic complications. At 6:45 a.m., he was transported to Breach Candy Hospital and pronounced dead. He was referred to as the “Big Bull of Dalal Street” and had a net worth of almost $5.5 billion.

Prime Minister Conveys His Sadness

The businessman’s death has drawn the condolences of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He tweeted, “Rakesh Jhunjhunwala was indomitable. Full of life, witty and insightful, he leaves behind an indelible contribution to the financial world. He was also very passionate about India’s progress. His passing away is saddening. My condolences to his family and admirers. Om Shanti.”

He added that Jhunjhunwala was full of life and had an indomitable spirit.
