In a grim and distressing discovery, the charred remains of an unidentified woman were found in the quiet village of Papar, situated within the Kanota Thana rural area in Jaipur’s Jamwa Ramgarh. This deeply troubling incident has cast a shadow over the region and has raised serious concerns about the state of law and order in Rajasthan.

BJP’s Scathing Critique

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) wasted no time in condemning this shocking incident, launching a fierce criticism against the Ashok Gehlot-led Congress government in Rajasthan. Shehzad Poonawalla, the national spokesperson for the BJP, expressed profound distress regarding the deteriorating law and order situation, citing recent unfortunate events targeting women in the state.

Poonawalla drew attention to a recent media report that shed light on the distressing incident in Jaipur’s Jamwa Ramgarh. He expressed his dismay, stating, “In Jaipur’s Jamwa Ramgarh, the charred remains of a woman have been discovered in broad daylight. The law and order situation in Rajasthan has hit an all-time low.”

A Troubling Trend

Underscoring the gravity of the issue, Poonawalla continued, “Regrettably, this has become a recurring pattern in Rajasthan. Atrocities against women are occurring on a daily basis. Rajasthan has regrettably earned the unfortunate distinction of being the state with the highest number of crimes against women.

Just days ago, in Sikar, a young minor girl was subjected to a horrifying incident of gang rape, resulting in her tragic demise as she was thrown into a well. In Hanumangarh, a survivor of rape was compelled to take her own life due to the absence of police support. In Pratapgarh, a woman was subjected to the horrific ordeal of being stripped naked and paraded.”

Citing the alarming surge in crimes against women in the state, Poonawalla remarked, “We are witnessing the distressing reality of Rajasthan becoming the leading state in terms of crimes against women. This is happening because the Chief Minister has suggested that most rape cases are fabricated, and a cabinet minister has shockingly implied that being a woman in Rajasthan means inevitable victimization, as it’s a ‘mard ka Pradesh’ (a state dominated by men). Yet, we hear not a single word from Rahul and Priyanka. This glaring silence reveals hypocrisy and double standards.”
