This chapter begins with Asa instructing Denji on whether or not it is safe to eat certain types of starfish. When Asa questions whether or not they are actually consuming it, Denji says, “You couldn’t eat fish right?” You’re going to have to eat some starfish.
But starfish has poisoned, Asa, points out skeptically, so we can’t eat them unless we boil them first. Denji assures her that everything is fine and that he was able to obtain a lighter from a member of the Devil Hunters’ Club.
Asa asks Denji why there are so many student caps on the ground in the next scene. Once back outside, Denji reveals the item is for sale. When Asa presses him further about his motivations, Denji explains, “I have to live together with someone like a little sister, and I’m going to a university so I can become smarter.” For school, because I’ve been living a shit life and because I want to live a normal life now.
Denji claims the cooked starfish has no flavor, while Asa is concerned there isn’t nearly enough. Next to them is a pile of dried fish that Denji cured himself. Denji is shocked that Asa would eat fish after she said she couldn’t, so she yells at her while she is eating one.
She takes a bite and gags slightly while Denji laughs at her, “aren’t you an interesting one?” Asa’s mood improves and she exclaims, “so I’m an interesting girl…!” Finally, you’ve come to your senses! You have to admit, I’m pretty hot, right? She doesn’t bother Denji, and he compares her to an old friend.
Seeing all of those hats Denji has collected, Asa has an instantaneous plan to rescue his friends. Denji says he has only gotten 1000 yen from the bag earlier, and there are 14,000 from the safe in the staffroom, so Asa tells him to gather all the money. When asked what to do, Asa exclaims, “Steal them!” and Denji replies, “Oh yeah.”
After that, they’re seen joking around and running around together. Denji refuses Asa’s request that he give her all the money after she has collected it. When asked what he wants, Asa replies, “If we get out of here I’ll listen to one of your wishes!” So Denji hands over the cash, and Asa tells him to cover his ears and turn his back to the wall.
Someone says, “I’m spending a million dollars on this aquarium,” and then adds, “Aquarium Spear!” Asa has apparently turned the entire Aquarium into a weapon, and this is where the chapter ends.
