In his early years, Chesson Hadley frequented the North Ridge Country Club, where he picked up the sport of golf. He then joined the North Raleigh High School squad. He went on to Georgia Tech, where he received three All-America honors in golf. In addition, in 2010, he took home the AC Conference title.
He was a member of the 2008 Palmer Cup squad. In 2010, he made the jump to the professional ranks, and by 2013, he was competing on the Web.com Tour. In June of 2013, Hadley won his first PGA tour event at the Rex Hospital Open. During the regular 2013 Web.com Tour season, he played exceptionally well.
With his third-place finish on the 2013 Web.com Tour money list, Chesson secured his spot on the PGA Tour for the 2014 season. His first PGA Tour victory came at the 2014 Puerto Rico Open on March 9. He recorded a tournament record 21 under par to win his first PGA Tour event.

In July 2017, at the LECOM Health Challenge, he won for the third time in his professional career. Thanks to this victory, he now has a better shot of making a comeback to the PGA Tour. An additional triumph came his way in September of 2017 at the Albertsons Boise Open.
