A first-year B.Tech student in the Ghaziabad district of Uttar Pradesh is in critical condition after she was injured when she tried to fight off bike-borne criminals who had stolen her cell phone on Friday (October 27). According to authorities, the event occurred on the Webcity overpass inside the jurisdiction of the Masuri authorities Station.

The authorities began a manhunt

As soon as police were made aware of what had happened, they sprang into action. When police began examining the area around Max Hospital in Govindpur, they discovered that two suspects were riding away on a motorcycle (a black Splendor).

Two suspects, one in custody, and one on the run

The on-duty police attempted to apprehend the two suspects, but the two fled. The police were unable to stop the suspects because the suspects also began firing at the officers. The police responded with gunfire, wounding one of the perpetrators.

One of the suspects riding the bike was shot by police, and both he and the bike went down. The suspect was struck in the leg by a gunshot. The police detained him. A second suspect on a pillion managed to flee via the woods at night, according to the police.

Mobile phone and homemade gun found

During questioning, the injured suspect identified himself as Balbir and admitted to participating in the mobile theft together with Jitendra. Jitendra, the second suspect, has vanished.

Police located the girl’s phone and found a pistol made in the suspect’s home. The police have begun searching for the other suspect.

Meanwhile, the girl who was injured is still fighting for her life in the hospital. The student is claimed to be a native of Hapur and currently attends ABES College in Ghaziabad to begin their studies toward a B.Tech degree.
