On Tuesday, former Pakistan cricketer Danish Kaneria condemned the demolition of a 150-year-old Karachi temple and called on Hindus worldwide to protest injustice in his nation.
After authorities demolished Mari Mata Temple’s holy sanctuary last week, Karachi-born Kaneria, Pakistan’s second Hindu cricketer, denounced the country’s lack of religious freedom.
Why is the international community silent about Pakistan’s temple destruction?
“Conversion, kidnapping, rape, and murder occur daily—no religious freedom.
“Hindus worldwide should raise their voice against injustice,”
Tweeted Kaneria, who played 61 Tests and 18 ODIs for Pakistan, taking 261 and 15 wickets.
Why is the Intl. Community silent on the demolition of historical temples in Pakistan?
Countless atrocities like conversion, kidnapping, rape & murder are happening everyday. There is no freedom of religion.
Hindus all over the world should raise their voice against injustice. https://t.co/cEbY59HOW3
