Delhi Metro Kanwariyas Dance to Loud Music

On Tuesday, July 4th, the holy month of Sawan began with the beginning of the Kanwar Yatra. Kanwariya yantras are well-known for the unwavering devotion and strict discipline practiced by the pilgrims.

However, a video posted to Twitter appears to show a group of kanwariyas dancing to loud music and snapping photos inside a Delhi metro car, where most passengers are still sitting.

He tweeted that a Muslim man had prayed near the gate outside the Delhi Metro station and that the “kanwariyas were causing uproar and could disrupt anyone in the name of religion whereas “everyone’s sensibilities were wounded.”
