In the middle of the crowd, one of the three pickpockets hid the passenger’s bag under her dupatta before removing items. The two other members of the gang helped her by standing on the sides and pressing the subject to create the illusion of a very crowded room.
Meanwhile, the incident shown in the clip has no known date but is assumed to be quite old (at least a few months).

Police bust up a ring of female pickpockets
In August of this year, the Delhi Metro police apprehended a ring of female pickpockets operating on the subway system. The police detailed the group’s method of operation, saying that the four women would push each other to create a crowded scene in public, during which they would steal items from people’s bags before running off.
The Delhi Metro police made the arrests after receiving an FIR detailing the pickpocketing problem at the Rajiv Chowk station. The suspect was reportedly apprehended with the aid of surveillance footage from the Rajiv Chowk and Kirti Nagar metro stops.
The women were discovered to be low-income locals of the Anand Parbat neighborhood in the nation’s capital.
