Jairam Ramesh, the communications director for the Congress party, announced that Sonia Gandhi, the leader of the Congress Parliamentary Party, would be spending the next few days in Jaipur to escape the smog in the nation’s capital.

According to Ramesh, Rahul Gandhi will be stationed in Jaipur and will travel to Chhattisgarh on Wednesday and to Rajasthan on Thursday, Sunday, and next Tuesday and Wednesday for election campaigns.

To get away from the smog in New Delhi, Congress Parliamentary Party Chairwoman Smt. Sonia Gandhi is spending the next several days in Jaipur. This is an entirely private meeting. On Tuesday, top Congress leader Shri. Rahul Gandhi said on ‘X’ that he will be stationed in Jaipur as he campaigned in Chhattisgarh on November 15 and in Rajasthan on November 16, 19, 21, and 22.

Voting to Begin in Chhattisgarh Very Soon

This coming Friday, the second round of voting in the Chhattisgarh assembly elections will take place. The state’s preliminary election round ended on November 7. There will be elections in Rajasthan on November 25.

Both states’ governments are controlled by the Congress. After winning 68 of the state legislature’s 90 available seats, the Congress assumed control of Chhattisgarh. There were 15 seats won by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

The Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) and a few independents provided the Congress with the necessary backing to form a government in Rajasthan, where they won 99 of 200 seats. The BJP won 73 of the total seats.
