Eight-year-old Student Critically Injured

A third-grade boy at Dr. Virendra Swaroop Education School in Kanpur was involved in a startling event as he tried replicating an action scene from the famous Bollywood film Krrish.

The son of a drug producer, the student jumped from the first-floor railing of the school while classes were in session. The injuries he sustained required immediate transport to a private hospital. The campus surveillance system recorded the incident.

The young pupil imitated the movie star Hrithik Roshan Krrish’s antics during school on a Wednesday. The hero’s ability to survive falls from great heights inspired the young man to attempt a similar feat. He reportedly walked out of class with curious students after saying he needed to fetch water.

The Fatal Jump

The student reached the railing on the first level, about 15 feet above the ground, and courageously attempted the jump. The young youngster landed severely, breaking his nose and seriously damaging his legs and hands. When the other students realized the danger, they returned to class.

Chilling Incident Captured on CCTV

The school’s CCTV cameras filmed the entire horrible event. The video captures the fatal leap and proves that the student had no companions in his reckless act.

The hurt youngster told his mom he looked up to Krrish because he was a superhero and wanted to be just like him. Principal Nandita Mali said that, while several students were present when he made the choice, they did not coerce him.
