After a video showing a police officer, later revealed to be Rinku Rajora, violently assaulting a guy became viral online, Rajora was placed on administrative leave.
Images show Officer Rinku, dressed in uniform, slapping the victim and kicking him while he is on the ground.
Cop explains his aggressive behavior
The local media quoted the officer as saying that the suspect made derogatory comments about his sister, prompting the officer to attack the individual physically.
Instead of making public charges of violent behavior in broad daylight, it was suggested that the police officer should have followed the law and filed a formal report with the relevant authorities.
Assault video goes viral
The footage showed a man being thrashed by the police officer while lying on the roadside. The assault occurs in front of onlookers, but no one does anything to stop it. It’s alleged that on August 14, even children and teenagers witnessed the incident.
