Officials in Himachal Pradesh have reported that four people were hurt on Saturday when a bus carrying them fell several feet as a section of the Mandi-Shimla highway collapsed.

They added that the bus had 12 people on board and was traveling from Mandi to Shimla when the road collapsed early on Saturday morning near Kango in the Mandi district.

According to them, the bus only plummeted a few feet before landing safely on its tires rather than being buried in the rubble.

According to Rohan Chand Thakur, MD of Himachal Roadways Transport Corporation (HRTC), the four injured passengers have been taken to the hospital.
