“A case has been registered under sections 13(1)(b) and 13(2) of the Prevention of Corruption Act at Police Station VB, Amritsar Range, against OP Soni following investigations in the inquiry, which was ordered on October 10, 2022.”

During the course of the investigation, it has been revealed that between April 1, 2016, and March 31, 2022, the income of OP Soni and his family amounted to ₹4,52,18,771.

However, their expenditures during the same period were reported to be ₹12,4842,692, which indicates a substantial difference. In fact, their expenditures exceeded their known sources of income by an alarming ₹7,96,23,912, equivalent to 176.08%:
