Exploring The Impressive Outer Range Season 2

It’s not often that you get to see Josh Brolin on television, but he plays the lead role in the Prime Video TV series Outer Range, and he’ll likely return for a second season. We have gathered as much information as we can on the possible sequel to the hit Neo-Western series Outer Range, so if you enjoyed the first season, you won’t have to wait long to find out if it will be happening.

Actor Josh Brolin is well-known for his many cinematic roles, including his role as Thanos in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Brolin is also known for his roles in the Western No Country for Old Men and the epic science fiction classic Dune. Yet, he has taken time away from the big screen to portray Royal Abbott in this streaming service treasure.

When can we expect to return to Wyoming for more Abbott family drama? Find out when the second season of Outer Range will premiere, who will be returning, and what might be in store for Brolin and his tribe.

Outer Range Season 2 Release Date

As of this writing in March 2023, Amazon has not announced when the second season of Outer Range would be available to stream. Earlier in October 2022, Amazon finally announced the comeback of the science fiction show.

The first season of Outer Range was well-received by both critics and viewers, but at this point, we wouldn’t expect the sequel to premiere till 2024. Even series star Josh Brolin is curious about Outer Range season 2’s status.

Midgard Times has posted a tweet about Outer Range Season 2. You can take a look below:

After posting a poem on Instagram about his time on the show, the actor urged viewers to back the campaign for a second season. We floated through a lot of noise while inside the hole, but we made it through the hard times.

That was the hole that united us despite our differences in background, and it was the hole that struck at the heart of the country’s discord. The Abbotts’ descent into existential hilarity, dubbed “the hole,” has just begun. Watch Season 1 and then “help pull out Season 2 with me,” Brolin pleaded with his readers.

Outer Range Season 2 Plot

There’s still a lot to find out about the mysterious hole on the Abbott ranch and the unusual happenings in Wabang, Wyoming, even after eight episodes of this Western/quasi-horror series. Season 2 of Outer Range will hopefully delve even further into the history of the hole and how it’s connected to the fabric of space and time.

The most surprising discovery of season 1 came in the penultimate episode when we learned that Autumn (Imogen Poots) was actually Amy, Perry’s daughter, and Royal’s granddaughter. There must be more to this mind-blowing change of events, and we expect to learn how Amy has supposedly traveled through time in season 2.

These are the major storylines that will need to be resolved in Outer Range season 2, but if the show is anything like season 1, there will be plenty more bloodshed and riddles to go around.

Outer Range Season 2 Cast

The role of Royal Abbott, played by Josh Brolin, would be a natural fit for a sequel, and so we can expect to see him in future Outer Range films. Being the show’s main attraction, it seems unlikely that the actor would not return for a second season.

We also expect Imogen Poots to return to her role as Autumn alongside him (though she may go by the name Amy in season 2). Cecilia Abbott, played by Lili Taylor, should return, too.

The fate of Perry (Tom Pelphrey) is up in the air at this time. We last saw him before he disappeared down the pit; he was overcome with sorrow. Yet as we all know, once someone goes down the rabbit hole, they’re never really gone.

That’s all we’ve got for now, but we’ll keep our ears to the ground for any further information about Outer Range Season 2 and report back. Keep an eye out for sinkholes while you wait for the latest release date for Outlander season 7.
