The tragedy unfolded in Masaurhi village, close to Patna, where the victim, a 17-year-old girl named Anamika, was targeted while on her way to a coaching class. Anamika, the daughter of Kamlesh Kumar from Nadwan Chapaur Kajichak, was a regular traveler to Masaurhi for her educational pursuits. However, her routine journey took a fatal turn when she was confronted by unidentified gunmen.

The attack appears to have been premeditated, with the assailants shooting Anamika in the head before fleeing the scene. Despite immediate medical attention, she was declared dead at the sub-divisional hospital, leaving her family and the local community in despair.

The police were prompt in their response, securing the crime scene and launching an investigation. They are currently analyzing CCTV footage and gathering witness statements, alongside recovering crucial evidence like the bullet shell from the crime scene.

In their statement, the police confirmed the occurrence of the incident under the jurisdiction of the Masaurhi Police Station. They have assured that a thorough forensic analysis is underway as part of their investigative efforts.
