These unstoppable anime heroes and baddies have shown over and over again that they are the most powerful characters the medium has to offer.
Over the past few decades, people have spent an uncountable number of hours trying to figure out who the greatest anime character ever is. There are so many people to choose from that it is hard to answer this question.
Since many ANIME characters have their special powers and skills, some will say that there is no clear answer. Even though these people might be right, that hasn’t stopped others from looking for one.
1. Saitama (One Punch Man)
Because One Punch Man is a satire, it’s safe to believe that Saitama is meant to be a stand-in for the strongest anime character of all time, and it’s hard to argue with that claim.
Unlike Goku and other anime heroes, who are often pushed to their absolute limits, Saitama can beat his enemies with just one move and never break a sweat.
One could make the case that other anime figures would do well in the One Punch Man world, and this may very well be true. In the end, though, almost every other cartoon hero has at some point or another been shown to be weaker than other characters in their own worlds.
This suggests that the same thing will probably happen again at some point in the future. Saitama, on the other hand, has never been second and probably never will be.

2. Son Goku (Dragon Ball)
Even though Zeno could be said to be the biggest character in Dragon Ball, strength is not the same thing as power. Zeno could probably wipe out everything with a snap of his fingers, but because he is so small, he probably wouldn’t do too well in a fistfight.
Goku, on the other hand, is right at home in this kind of place. The Super Saiyan has saved Earth many times and has been able to get past almost every problem he has ever faced.
His Saiyan blood makes him stronger every time he loses, and Ultra Instinct gives him access to the Power of the Gods. As he gets better at using that power, he will only get stronger, just like he has for the past 35 years.

3. Giorno Giovanna (JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure)
Some might say that Jotaro Kujo is the best character in JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure. While the main character of Stardust Crusaders is strong, Giorno Giovanna, the main character of Part 5, is much stronger.
The Gold Experience Requiem standability of the second one is just too strong, making every other stand, even Star Power, look bad. GER can undo acts and can be set off in a place where there is no longer any time.
It can also work without Giorno, which means that even if someone killed him in a fight, his stand would bring him back to life immediately. So, he’s pretty much immortal and has the kind of weapons that makes that really count.
4. Anos Voldigoad (The Misfit of Demon King Academy)
The Misfit of Demon King Academy is a fairly new anime compared to some of the other popular anime shows that have made it to the West, but its main character, Anos, has been around for more than 2,000 years.
He is a revival of the first and strongest Demon King, which gives him a lot of useful advantages in battle. Anos is incredibly fast and incredibly strong, and he can use a lot of different kinds of magic, including the ability to break something that can’t be broken just by looking at it.
He can also use Venuzdonoa’s magic sword, which was made by putting the body of the first God of Destruction into it. The blade can kill almost anything, just like Anos’s magical eyes.

5. Kaido (One Piece)
Even though Luffy is the main character of the One Piece series, he is not even close to being the best character. A lot of other people, like Rocks D. Xebec, Big Mom, and Akainu, also deserve to be mentioned, but Kaido is probably the most deserving of the title, based on who you ask.
People always bet on Kaido for many reasons, but the fact that he can become a huge dragon is one of the most important. He is also very good at all three types of Haki and has shown this against some of the toughest people in the series, like Big Mom.
Even though Luffy is able to beat him in the end, it takes him a long time and a little bit of luck to do so.

6. Tetsuo Shima (Akira)
Tetsuo is the main bad guy in Akira, even though he used to be the hero’s best friend. Once his psychic power is fully awakened, it is much more than he can handle. This causes a series of psychic explosions that threaten to destroy the whole world.
Akira pulls him into a different world just in time to save him from disaster. Tetsuo is scary because he never comes close to using all of his psychic power, at least not in a way that he can manage.
If he ever learned to use all of his skills to their fullest, there’s no telling what he could do or who he could beat in a fight.
7. Griffith (Berserk)
Griffith and Guts aren’t that different, but Griffith barely beats out his old friend Guts because of the extreme lengths he goes to in order to get power.
The fact that he’s willing to kill his friends and allies to become Femto shows a level of cruelty rarely seen in anime and helps make Griffith one of Berserk’s best and most complicated characters.
Griffith’s acts at the Tower of Rebirth aren’t just a shocking and memorable setpiece moment. They’re also a sign that the character has lost the last of his humanity and some of the biggest flaws that come with caring about other people.
Guts’s love for Casca and his friends does sometimes make him stronger, but Griffith’s ability to make Guts angry by going after Casca and his friends shows how love has two sides.
8. Muzan Kibutsuji (Demon Slayer)
At this point in the Demon Slayer anime, Muzan Kibutsuji’s reputation for chaos and violence is pretty well known. He is the leader of the Twelve Kizuki, and he is also the King of the demons.
Even if it wasn’t, though, the fact that he can control anyone whose veins are filled with his evil blood almost makes it irrelevant. He has an army of demons that can’t be stopped, and unlike a normal army, they can’t rebel against him.
Muzan, on the other hand, is a very skilled fighter in his own right. His superhuman strength lets him tear through the lines of the Hashira with relative ease.
Even if one of them got close enough to catch him off guard, the fact that he is immortal and can move things with his mind is the safest thing of all. Even if the Hashira could wait him out, Muzan also has endless youth, so that wouldn’t help.
9. Kaguya Otsutsuki (Naruto)
Naruto has faced some very strong bad guys over the years, but none of them were as dangerous as Kaguya, the Rabbit Goddess. She became the Ten-Tails after eating the fruit of the God Tree and then merging with it.
This gave her a wide range of skills that make her almost impossible to stop in battle. Even though Kaguya uses these powers at first to protect her old clan and her sons, she ends up being eaten by the power, just like she was when she ate the Chakra fruit.
After her heart has been taken over by darkness, she almost always uses her ability to read and control minds to do bad things, causing a lot of pain and damage.
10. Yhwach (Bleach)
Being the son of the Soul King gave Yhwach a lot of special abilities, the most important of which was the ability to give other living things parts of his soul just by touching them. By doing this, he was able to get other people to help him develop new skills and powers, which he could then take back and use against his enemies.
Ichigo is able to beat Yhwach in the end, but this is because the hero is smarter than the bad guy, not because he is bigger. If Yhwach had killed his rival when he had the chance, he could have stopped the endless loop of life and death.
With The Almighty, a power that lets its user change the future, at his hands, there is a good chance that he did change the future.

11. Alucard (Hellsing)
At the start of Hellsing, Alucard is almost unbeatable because he has a large number of souls. By the end of the series, though, he is everywhere and nowhere at the same time, making it impossible to kill him.
This is not good news for people who end up on the wrong side of him, which is usually the only side he has. Alucard is a killer who can’t be stopped because he has a wide range of skills.
His incredible speed and strength let him tear through enemies with his bare hands and make it very hard for them to fight back. He’s just as dangerous with a gun, and over the years, his trusty pair of handguns have killed their fair share of people.
12. Naruto Uzumaki (Naruto)
Naruto may not be as strong as the main characters of some other popular anime shows, but what he lacks in raw strength, he makes up for with his skill and confidence. Sage Mode and the once-selfish ninja are both powerful because they have control over the Nine-Tailed Demon Fox.
He often finds it useful to be able to make huge Chakra creatures, especially since he can use and mix all of the elements while doing so. With these skills, the Hero of the Hidden Leaf almost single-handedly won a World War, which shows how powerful he really is in the Naruto world.
13. Kageyama Shigo (Mob Psycho 100)
Mob Psycho 100’s Kageyama Shigo, who is generally called “Mob,” is a good example of how big things can come in small packages. Eren gets a lot of his power from how big he gets when he transforms, but Mob gets his strength straight from his thoughts.
This might not sound like much on paper, but when all of his powers are used, they hit much harder than any giant ever could. Mob hasn’t quite figured out how to fully control his skills yet, so he ties them up so he doesn’t accidentally hurt anyone.
Even when Mob loses control of his feelings, they can still get away sometimes. This means that neither he nor the people around him can ever really let their guard down. His real power is really that scary, and he has every reason to be so scared of it.

14. All Might (My Hero Academia)
There are many strong heroes and villains in My Hero Academia, but maybe All For One and Izuku Midoriya are the only ones who can even come close to All Might. The previous number one pro hero was so strong that it was hard to believe.
This was because he had the One For All quirk, which gave him superhuman powers and made him almost invulnerable because he seemed to have an endless supply of strength and speed.
Unlike a lot of fictional heroes, All Might knew when to stop being a hero. After beating All For One in Episode 50 of the anime, All Might quit being a hero.
Even though he gave up his Quirk, he is still an important part of the story, not only because he gives Izuku wisdom and strength, but also because he is a symbol of peace and harmony for the whole world.
15. Satoru Gojo (Jujutsu Kaisen)
Many of the strongest cartoon characters ever are in Jujutsu Kaisen, but Satoru Gojo is the best of the bunch. His screen time on the show shows that he really is that strong.
As the first member of the Gojo family in more than 400 years to receive both the Six Eyes and Limitless techniques, he is a powerful fighter who can bend and change reality at will.
For a while, it was thought that Satoru’s powers were on par with those of another sorcerer called Suguru. However, Suguru later admitted that Satoru’s powers were much stronger than his own and that Satoru could kill everyone on his own if he really wanted to.

16. Eren Yeager (Attack On Titan)
Even though Eren isn’t useless when he’s in human form, he’s not really dangerous until he changes. The power to turn into an unstoppable 15-foot Titan is a very useful trick to have, and it saves him many times throughout Attack on Titan.
Just because of how big he is, few anime figures could ever hope to beat him, and the number of those who could survive his strength is probably even smaller. He also has the Founding Titan power, which lets him control other Titans when he comes into touch with someone whose blood is made of royal blood.
17. Aang (Avatar: The Last Airbender)
In Avatar: The Last Airbender, there are a lot of strong Avatars, but none of them are as strong as Aang. At the beginning of the series, he is a young child who is clumsy and doesn’t know what he’s doing. As the series goes on, he grows up and becomes one of the most powerful anime characters ever.
Throughout the series, Aang proves himself in a fight many times, and each time he does, he gets stronger because he is able to learn from the experience. This all comes to a head when he beats Ozai, the Phoenix King, and ends the fight without anyone getting hurt by energy-bending.
18. Toriko (Toriko)
A lot of anime characters are strong because they have special powers or skills, but Toriko isn’t really like that. Toriko is known as “the glutton” because he loves to eat, and he is the perfect example of brute strength. His high-calorie diet has helped him become one of the strongest cartoon characters around.
As a Gourmet Hunter, Toriko’s main goal is to find ingredients, but that doesn’t mean that the anime and manga stories about her don’t have fight scenes. Here is where the main character can show how strong he really is and how hungry he is for destruction. Some of his signature moves can instantly destroy enemies.
19. Ryuko Matoi (Kill la Kill)
Ryuko Matoi, the main character of Kill la Kill, finds that her fighting skills have been greatly improved after she merges with a strange outfit made of Life Fibers. Ryuko’s look also changes when she wears the sentient sailor uniform. Her hair turns blonde, like something from Akira Toriyama’s Dragon Ball series.
Ryuko and Senketsu fight many strong enemies at the Honnouji Academy with the help of Ryuko’s trusty red Scissor Blade. Ryuko is trying to find out who killed her father, so she wants to know the truth. Senketsu can also take in the Life Fibers of other intelligent outfits. This means that Ryuko gets stronger and stronger as the show goes on.
20. Gilgamesh(Fate)
Gilgamesh is one of the best and strongest characters in the history of anime. He has a lot of useful fighting skills and powers, so he can fight even the strongest anime characters without getting tired. Like a lot of his friends, he has incredible strength and speed, as well as luck that can’t be explained by science. He can also fly, just to be sure.
Gilgamesh is a great bad guy in part because he has so much charisma. This makes it hard to dislike him, even though he is a recurring bad guy in several of the Fate stories. Even though there are more ruthless anime villains than Gilgamesh, none of them are as memorable or as strong as Gilgamesh.
