In a recent turn of events during the Sawan fair, a shocking incident on the Saryu Express train has sent shockwaves across the nation. An attack on a female head constable returning from duty has led to a joint operation between the Special Task Force (STF) and Ayodhya Police. The primary accused, Naseem, met his fate during this operation, while two other individuals involved sustained injuries.
2 Miscreants were Admitted to the Hospital
The two injured miscreants have been promptly admitted to the hospital for necessary medical treatment. However, the unfortunate encounter did not spare the law enforcement officers either. During the operation, SO Purakalandar Ratan Sharma and two other constables were also injured by bullets, highlighting the gravity of the situation.
Upcoming Press Conference in Lucknow
STF chief Amitabh Yash is set to address the media in a press conference to shed light on the brutality faced by the female constable aboard the Saryu Express train and provide insights into how the entire incident unfolded.
The victimized female constable is currently receiving treatment at the Lucknow Trauma Centre. Notably, this incident garnered attention from multiple agencies, including the UP Police, UP STF, and Railways, as well as the Allahabad High Court.
Police Fir was registered
An FIR was registered in the case based on a complaint lodged by the policewoman’s brother under sections 307 (attempt to murder), 353 (assault or criminal force to deter a public servant from discharging duty), and 332 (voluntarily causing hurt to deter a public servant from duty) of the Indian Penal Code.

Accused Aneesh Died in Police Encounter

On the fateful day, they attempted to snatch a woman constable’s bag, leading to a violent altercation in which the constable sustained severe injuries. Interrogations thus far, involving Azad and Vishambhar Dayal Dubey, the injured individuals, point towards the incident being motivated by robbery.
Anees, who was slain in the incident, had sought to make friends with the female officer, according to officials. When the woman refused Aness, he and his two companions attacked her. She was hurt when she slammed her head against the train window. The three miscreants fled when the train slowed near Ayodhya. The police then released photos of suspects taken from CCTV footage at the railway platform, as well as a Rs 1 lakh reward for information on the offenders.
