The Central CEN Crime Police Station in Karnataka has registered a First Information Report (FIR) against unknown suspects after the Press Relations Officer (PRO) of the High Court of Karnataka, K Muralidhar, reported receiving threats to his life and the lives of several judges.

WhatsApp Messages with Serious Threats
K Muralidhar, the High Court PRO, complained on July 14, stating that he received threatening messages on WhatsApp from an international number on July 12, around 7 pm.
The messages, written in Hindi, Urdu, and English, specifically targeted him and six High Court judges, including Justice Mohammed Nawaz, Justice HT Narendra Prasad, Justice Ashok G Nijagannavar (retired), Justice HP Sandesh, Justice K Natarajan, and Justice B Veerappa (retired).

Demand for Ransom and FIR Registration
The threatening messages demanded a ransom of Rs 50 lakh to be paid to a bank account in Pakistan. Alarmed by the serious nature of the threats, K Muralidhar promptly filed a complaint with the police.
