10 August, Bengaluru: On Thursday, news broke of a terrible assault in Bengaluru involving an Uber driver who attacked a woman who had mistakenly gotten into the wrong vehicle.
Wednesday’s event occurred in the Bhoganahalli neighborhood within the jurisdiction of the Bellandur police station.
After validating the CCTV evidence, police have initiated their investigation and are actively searching for the suspect.
Ajay Agarwal, the victim’s husband, has taken to Twitter to vent his fury over what happened.
Took the wrong cab home
On Wednesday morning, the mom called a cab from her residence to take her kid to the emergency room.
She saw an Uber waiting for her as she stepped outside and got in, not realizing it wasn’t the one she had reserved.
The driver allegedly assaulted the female passenger
She attempted to get out of the way when the passenger discovered it wasn’t her cab. The diver was moving the cab as the woman tried to exit.
The driver then assaulted the victim in the apartment complex when he abruptly stopped the car.

Attacks a Child
The driver also attacked the youngster who stepped in to protect his mother. The entire incident was recorded by a surveillance camera in the apartment complex building.
An Uber driver Basavaraju has been arrested for assaulting a woman and her son. The incident happened at a gated community in #Bengaluru. Apartment building occupants came to the woman’s aid and prevented further assault.
Locals rush to the rescue.
