WWE 2K23 Launch Trailer Released: When it comes to A-list talent, WWE 2K23 is in a league of its own. With the release of WWE today for owners of the icon or deluxe versions, 2K has published a new trailer showcasing the pinnacle of WWE and pop culture, featuring not just Bad Bunny and Logan Paul in the ad, but also in the game itself. Both may be controlled by the player, and in the case of Logan Paul, this is his second playable game appearance; considering how fantastic he is after so few matches, he seems destined to be a mainstay for years to come.
The trailer features the new WarGames match type, which is a piece of wrestling history in video game form as the match has been around for almost 35 years but has never been featured in a game before. The game’s cover star, John Cena, headlines the game’s best showcase mode to date, in which players assume the role of his opponents in historic matches spanning his 20-year WWE career, including a few unbelievable plot twists that players will have to experience for themselves. On March 17, WWE 2K23 will be released for Xbox, PlayStation, and PC via Steam, but those who preordered the deluxe or icon editions can start playing right away.

Compared to its predecessor, WWE WK23 significantly improves upon its foundation. Yet, it adds its own innovations to the legendary wrestling series. This year’s big draw is a new type of gameplay called WarGames. It’s also the first time this style of the match has been used for a WWE championship. This is a welcome change of pace, as the gameplay modes of different games in the series have been rather identical up until now.
Wrestlers in WarGames can freely travel between two adjacent rings, creating a 3v3 or 4v4 format. Two combatants square off first, while their teammates wait in separate cages. It’s been decided that the remaining participants will be brought into the arena one by one as the match progresses. After all of the Superstars have been spotted in the ring, the WarGames match will commence.
