Pravesh Shukla, the guy shown urinating on a tribal laborer on film that was retrieved by police in Madhya Pradesh’s Sidhi district, was caught hours later. Shivraj Singh Chouhan, the chief minister, has promised that the offender “won’t be spared at any cost.”
The man captured on camera urinating on a tribal laborer, identified as Pravesh Shukla, was taken into custody between Tuesday and Wednesday. Many people demanded that Shukla be punished after seeing the viral footage of the incident.
The video was lost for six days before it was found on Tuesday by authorities in the Sidhi area of Madhya Pradesh. A high-ranking police official confirmed that Pravesh Shukla had been detained and is currently being questioned.
A First Information Report (FIR) was filed against Shukla under the SC/ST Act and Indian Penal Code sections 294 (Obscene actions) and 504 (Intentional insult to provoke disruption of the peace).

To set an example, the government, according to Singh Chouhan, will provide the “sternest possible punishment” for the convicted.
pic.twitter.com/gmNk7PxfZD

Announcing that “we will not spare him (culprit) at any cost,” he continued.
Some have said that the accused is a member of the BJP; Chouhan asked if this was true. “Criminals have no caste, religion, and party,” the chief minister said. Simply put, criminals are criminals. He won’t get off easy.”
Narottam Mishra, the home minister of Madhya Pradesh, echoed these comments, saying, “Whoever commits a mistake will be punished, regardless of which party he is.”

A BJP MLA’s aide is the man in the viral video.
The state’s opposition has since claimed that BJP MLA Kedar Shukla’s representative, Pravesh Shukla, is behind the video’s release. Shukla posted a selfie of them together on Facebook. The BJP denied unequivocally that they knew Shukla.
As for Kedar Shukla, he denied that Shukla represented him but admitted that he was familiar with the accused.
The elder Shukla, Ramakant, insisted that his son Pravesh represented the younger Shukla, Kedar. The opposition is going for him because he means the BJP MLA. Ramakant wished for a thorough investigation into the incident and justice delivery.
