Gyanvapi Survey: ASI requests 8 weeks to present report, hearing on September 8!!

Date:

The Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) on Saturday sought 8 weeks time to survey the Gyanvapi complex and file its report. ASI’s application will be heard on September 8. Now all eyes are on the court. People are curious to know whether the court will accept the application for an extension of time to submit the survey report.

On behalf of the ASI, Amit Srivastava, the Standing Counsel of the Government of India, along with Vadini’s advocate Subhash Nandan Chaturvedi and advocate Sohanlal Arya, filed an application in the court of ADJ I Sanjeev Sinha. Due to the death of an advocate, the court fixed the matter for hearing on September 4.

The District Judge’s court had ordered to survey the Gyanvapi campus except the sealed warehouse and submit its report by September 2. The SSI team has been conducting the survey since August 4. GPR technology has also been used in this. Survey work is going on in Gyanvapi, so there was little hope of filing the report in the court today.
