One nation one election bill introduced in lok sabha; gains support from key parties

The One Nation One Election Bill was introduced in the Lok Sabha by Union Minister Arjun Meghwal, aiming to hold simultaneous elections for the Parliament and state assemblies.

The bill has received support from key political parties, including YSR Congress, TDP, JDU, JDS, and Mayawati, who have extended their backing.

However, Congress has strongly opposed the bill, voicing concerns over its implications. To pass, the bill requires a 2/3rd majority in the Lok Sabha.
