Prayagraj gears up for Maha Kumbh 2025

Prayagraj is preparing to host the Maha Kumbh Mela from January 13 to February 26, 2025. This grand spiritual event happens once every 12 years and attracts millions of devotees from around the world. This year, the event is expected to welcome over 40 crore pilgrims, making it one of the largest gatherings of faith and spirituality globally.

Adani Group and ISKCON join hands for a noble cause

In a remarkable act of service, the Adani Group, led by businessman Gautam Adani, has partnered with the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) to serve free Mahaprasad to 1 lakh devotees every day during the event. This initiative not only highlights the Adani Group’s dedication to social responsibility but also adds to the spiritual and cultural importance of the Maha Kumbh.

What makes the Maha Kumbh special?

The Maha Kumbh Mela is a significant Hindu pilgrimage where devotees believe they can cleanse their sins and achieve spiritual liberation through a holy dip at the confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati rivers. The event is enriched by the presence of saints, sadhus, and spiritual seekers, creating a vibrant atmosphere of devotion, tradition, and community.

Gautam Adani’s message on service

Gautam Adani expressed his gratitude for this collaboration with ISKCON and emphasized the importance of seva (service) during the Kumbh. During his meeting with Guru Prasad Swami, Chairman of ISKCON’s Governing Body Commission, Adani said, “Kumbh is a sacred place of seva, where every devotee gets involved in the name of seva to God. It is my good fortune that we are starting the ‘Mahaprasad Seva’ for the devotees at the Maha Kumbh in collaboration with ISKCON.”

He also stated that with the blessings of Maa Annapurna, free food would be served to lakhs of devotees. Adani described this initiative as a form of meditation, prayer, and connection with divinity.

ISKCON appreciates Adani Group’s effort

Guru Prasad Swami praised the Adani Group’s commitment to social service, saying, “The Adani Group has always been a shining example of corporate responsibility and social service.” He highlighted that this collaboration aims to bring nourishment to the devotees and strengthen the feeling of unity and shared faith.

A blend of corporate responsibility and spirituality

This collaboration between the Adani Group and ISKCON at the Maha Kumbh Mela 2025 is a unique example of integrating corporate power with spiritual values. By serving Mahaprasad to such a large number of people, this initiative will nourish not just the body but also the soul of millions of devotees, making it a memorable part of one of the world’s largest spiritual gatherings.
