A tragic road accident in Bareilly has uncovered a shocking kidnapping case. What initially appeared to be a routine highway accident turned into a major criminal investigation after police found two injured children alive inside the vehicle.
High-Speed Crash on Highway
The incident took place on the Lucknow-Delhi Highway under the CB Ganj police station area, where a speeding Bolero car rammed into a stationary tanker late Sunday night.
The collision was so intense that three occupants of the vehicle died on the spot, while another accused sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital.
Two Children Found Inside Car, Weapon Recovered
During inspection of the vehicle, police found two young children in an unconscious and injured condition. They were immediately shifted to hospital for treatment.
An illegal country-made pistol was also recovered from the car, indicating involvement in serious criminal activity.

Kidnapping Link Traced to Gurugram
Investigation revealed that the children — 6-year-old Mayur and 3-year-old Lakshya — are residents of Gurugram.
They had gone missing along with their father Manoj. A missing complaint had already been filed by their mother Pooja.
According to the complaint, Manoj had taken the children to a temple but did not return. Later, the family received a threatening call claiming he had been abducted and warning them against informing the police.
Accident Leads to Rescue
Police suspect that the accused were transporting the kidnapped children and their father when the accident occurred.
While three accused died in the crash, one injured suspect survived and is currently under police custody. During the investigation, police also rescued Manoj safely from a house in Faridpur, where he had been held hostage.
Motive Linked to Personal Dispute
Preliminary investigation suggests that the accused were known to Manoj. The main accused, Manmohan, had allegedly kept him captive at an acquaintance’s house.
Police sources indicate that the kidnapping was linked to a personal dispute involving Manoj’s adopted daughter, which had led to tensions between the two sides.

Police Action Underway
Police have detained multiple suspects, including relatives of the main accused, and further investigation is ongoing. Authorities from both Uttar Pradesh and Haryana are jointly probing the case.
Officials said efforts are underway to arrest other involved persons and uncover the full conspiracy.
Children Recovering, Condition Stable
The two rescued children are currently undergoing treatment, and their condition is reported to be improving.
Police have assured strict action in the case and stated that all accused will be brought to justice soon.
