The Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), which is led by Mayawati, has suspended Danish Ali, an MP, for reasons related to his anti-party activities. A party bulletin was sent out on Saturday to announce the decision.
Party national secretary Satish Chandra Mishra wrote in a letter, “You were told verbally many times that you should not make any statement or action against the policies, ideology, and discipline of the party, but despite this, you have been continuously acting against the party.”
At Deve Gowda’s request, you were issued a ticket: The BSP
“It is pertinent to mention that you were affiliated with Shri Deve Gowda ji’s Janata Party until 2018 and that in the 2018 Karnataka general elections, you were part of an alliance with both the Janata Party and the Bahujan Samaj Party. Plus, you did a lot of work for Shri Deve Gowda ji’s side in this coalition. You were granted a ticket from Amroha to run as a Bahujan Samaj Party candidate after the results of the aforementioned elections in Karnataka were announced. Before this, Mr. Deve Gowda ji had promised that once you were a candidate for the Bahujan Samaj Party, you would adhere strictly to all party policies and directives and serve solely the party’s interests. You had likewise reassured him of this. Your membership in the BSP and eligibility to run for Amroha’s Lok Sabha seat were contingent upon this guarantee. Now that you’ve broken your word, you’re engaging in anti-party actions.
“Therefore, now in the interest of the party, you are suspended from the membership of Bahujan Samaj Party with immediate effect,” according to the letter.

Relatives say Ali was demoted because of his closeness to Congress
Ali was reportedly on the verge of expulsion from the BSP over his parliamentary alliance with the Congress. After Mayawati’s party issued repeated warnings, the Congress party backed Ali in the face of his challenges.
Ali recently joined the Opposition and voiced his disapproval of the removal of Mahua Moitra, leader of the Trinamool Congress (TMC), from her position as a Lok Sabha MP. He was very critical of the federal government, saying that it should not use its “brute majority” in the lower house to silence its opponents.
