Reliance Jewels Dehradun Under Siege: Armed Miscreants Pull Off ₹10 Crore Jewellery Heist!!

Date:

Unknown thieves in Dehradun, Uttarakhand, made off with jewelry worth Rs. 10 crores from the Reliance jewelry store while state police were preoccupied with security preparations for the President of India’s visit. The event took place at approximately 10:30 AM on Thursday, November 9th, in the showroom on Rajapur Road. It took around 10 minutes for the whole heist to go down.

Reports indicate that five people entered the showroom; two of them reportedly had guns. At gunpoint, they ransacked the store.

The fact that the heist took place although police security is water-tight in the city given the President of India’s visit to Uttarakhand has raised doubts. The Uttarakhand State Foundation Day celebration will take place in Dehradun on November 9, and the President will serve as the event’s chief guest.

The crime was captured on CCTV, which shows one of the thieves casually disposing of the jewelry while others help him pack up the ornaments and valuables.
