Shreya and Shiladitya were longtime friends and attended the same institution. Despite being the closest of friends, their relationship remained out of the spotlight. In a small ceremony on February 5, 2015, Shiladitya and Shreya exchanged vows.

The pair kept their relationship a secret from everyone, so everyone was taken aback when they announced their wedding. The wedding caught even their close friends and colleagues in the industry off guard.

In a traditional Bengali wedding, the couple exchanged vows at the five-star Bandra Resort. All of the Bengali wedding customs, such as sindoor-daan, subho drishti, and piri ghorano, were executed by Shiladitya and Shreya. While the groom wore his typical dhoti-kurta, the stunning bride Shreya accessorized her red Banarasi saree with gold jewels.

Shreya posted the news of their wedding on social media in 2015. She wrote, “Married the love of my life @shiladitya  last night surrounded by our families and close friends, an exciting new life awaits.”
