The bus, amidst its journey on the Kaladhungi Road in Nainital, met with fate at an unsuspecting turn. The alarm was promptly sounded by the Disaster Control Room in Nainital, mobilizing the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF). With agility and precision, the SDRF dispatched rescue teams to the accident locale, racing against time to extend a helping hand to the victims.
Nainital’s Senior Superintendent of Police, Prahlad Narayan Meena, provided a brief to the media, sharing, “The bus was carrying 30-32 people. They were en route to Hisar, Haryana when the misfortune struck. As of now, we have rescued 25 individuals.”
