Jalandhar, Punjab In a striking case of police corruption, Rajesh Kumar Arora, the Station House Officer (SHO) of Rama Mandi Police Station in Jalandhar, has been arrested on charges of bribery. The incident, which has raised serious concerns about the integrity of law enforcement in the area, also involves two additional police officers, Senior Constable Sandeep Kumar and employee Anwar Kumar.
The Bribery Case Unfolds
The case came to light when a spa center owner, referred to as Sabi, complained to the police officers. According to Sabi, he was forced to pay Rs 2.50 lakh as a bribe for the release of several female workers and his wife, who were detained during a police raid at his spa. Notably, the raid was marred by procedural lapses, including the absence of female constables and alleged harassment of the detained women.
