Ajit Pawar to Meet PM Modi on July 18 to Discuss Farmers’ Issues!!

Date:

Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar announced that he is scheduled to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi on July 18. During the meeting, Pawar plans to raise the concerns and issues faced by farmers in the state.

The Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader expressed contentment with the portfolio allocation following his inclusion in the Eknath Shinde-led government in July. Pawar made these statements during his attendance at the ‘Shasan Aplya Dari’ (government at your doorstep) program in Nashik.

Ajit Pawar confirmed his meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on July 18:

During the meeting, he intends to discuss various issues related to farmers. Additionally, Pawar mentioned his attendance at the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) meeting along with NCP leader Praful Patel.

Addressing the media, Pawar dismissed claims made by Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut regarding the finance portfolio, stating that the NCP is satisfied with the allocation of portfolios. He emphasized that the current atmosphere should not be unnecessarily disturbed, as the party is content with the distribution of responsibilities.

Pawar clarified that the decision to expand the cabinet and fill the 14 vacant positions is solely at the discretion of the Chief Minister. When questioned about the pending civic elections in the state, he mentioned that several issues, including the reservation for Other Backward Classes (OBC), are awaiting the Supreme Court’s verdict.

The Maharashtra Election Commission has initiated preparations for electoral rolls, and once the court delivers its decision on these matters, elections will be conducted in the state.

Ajit Pawar to Meet PM Modi on July 18

Ajit Pawar expressed that family and political matters are distinct entities. He visited his family members, including Pratibha Pawar, who underwent surgery, and clarified that their meeting did not involve political discussions. He emphasized the value placed on family and traditions.

Commenting on the current water situation, Pawar highlighted that the state had not received sufficient rainfall this year, resulting in a decline in water levels in dams. He stressed the importance of utilizing water judiciously and adopting measures for water conservation.

Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar’s upcoming meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi provides an opportunity to address the concerns of farmers in Maharashtra. Pawar’s contentment with the portfolio allocation indicates a positive outlook within the NCP.

The pending cabinet expansion and civic elections await further developments, subject to the Supreme Court’s verdict on critical matters. Pawar’s visit to family members was separate from political affairs, and he highlighted the need to conserve water resources amidst the current challenging water situation in the state.
