Images of eerie calm emerged from Haryana’s Nuh a day after skirmishes between two factions resulted in the deaths of two policemen and injured numerous more. After the violence, Nuh, Sohna, and Faridbad were placed under section 144, which will remain in effect until August 2.
Day of violence, schools close
The District Information and Public Relations Officer of Gurugram, Haryana, announced Monday that all schools, colleges, and coaching centers would be closed on Tuesday. District Magistrate Nishant Kumar Yadav has issued the mandate.
This followed violent confrontations between the two factions on Monday. On Monday, a conflict between two groups in Haryana’s Nuh district resulted in the deaths of two house guards and the injuries of around a dozen police officers, according to the officials.
Two police officers have been killed.
Neeraj and Gursevak, both police officers, were killed in the attack on the Khedali Daula police station. The injured police officers from the community confrontations in Nuh, Haryana, have been transferred to Medanta Hospital in Gurgaon.
The mob reportedly attacked the police personnel as they marched from Gurugram to Mewat. The Nuh district of Haryana has momentarily lost access to mobile internet.

The situation in Nuh is currently under control.
Acting Nuh SP Narender Bijarniya said in response to the incident, “Today’s incident is regrettable. Everything is under control in Nuh at this time. The perpetrators are being pursued by law enforcement. Some members of the (police) force have also been hurt.
During the Shobha Yatra, a fight broke out, and its cause is currently under investigation. Some arrests have been made. The internet has been shut down for maintenance. All stranded persons have been rescued, and the Deputy Commissioner of Nuh has asked for calm.

The internet will be down until August 2nd.
The Nuh district’s internet access will remain down until August 2. According to an official announcement released by the Haryana Government, the order has been issued to prevent the transmission of false information and rumors via social media. It also noted that all Haryana telecom service providers are required to ensure compliance of this decision.
