The incident has raised concerns over the safety of religious minorities in Pakistan and highlights the need for immediate action to protect their rights.

The Attack

The assault on the small temple, built by the local Hindu community, occurred on Sunday. The attackers, estimated to be eight or nine in number, launched a violent assault using rocket launchers.

Fortunately, the rockets failed to explode, averting any loss of life. The police were alerted and arrived at the scene, prompting the assailants to flee. The authorities have initiated a search operation to apprehend the attackers.

Threats Stemming from a PUBG Love Story

This attack comes from threats issued by dacoits in the Kashmore and Ghotki riverine areas. The threats specifically targeted Hindu places of worship and community members in response to a love story involving Seema Haider Jakhrani.

Seema, a Pakistani woman, had befriended and fallen in love with a Hindu man while playing the popular online game PUBG. Their story gained attention when Seema left Pakistan and entered India to be with her partner, resulting in legal complications for both.
