Bangladesh govt bans Hindu entries in government jobs, dparks outrage

In a shocking move, the Bangladesh government has announced a ban on Hindu applicants in government jobs, with a special focus on the police department. The new order prioritizes Muslim applicants for positions, ranging from constables to higher ranks.

Bangladeshi Minister Jahangir Alam Chowdhury stated, “Bangladesh is a Muslim majority country. So, whether it is police or government jobs, Muslims will get priority.” This statement has sparked widespread controversy and backlash from the Hindu community and human rights organizations.

Reports indicate that over 1,500 Hindu applicants have been rejected for government positions, and 100 Hindu officers have been dismissed from their roles, according to a Times of India report.

This policy change has triggered a massive uproar, drawing global attention to the treatment of religious minorities in Bangladesh.
