New Delhi: In a shocking turn of events, officials from the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) apprehended two Delhi Police personnel on Tuesday for accepting a bribe of Rs. 50,000 from e-rickshaw parking contractors in Delhi’s Mangolpuri area.
The CBI conducted a raid and arrested Head Constable Akshay and Constable Anil, while another police officer involved in the case, Constable Bhim Singh, managed to flee. However, CCTV footage of Singh’s escape has surfaced online.
The video reveals Singh’s repeated attempts to evade capture as CBI officers skillfully thwarted his efforts and took him into custody. As per reports, he will be presented before the court on Thursday. The investigation is currently underway, and it is believed that a senior officer from the Mangolpuri Police Station is allegedly involved.
The scope of the CBI probe may extend to higher-ranking officials as well. Currently, a CBI team is present at the Mangolpuri police station, conducting a thorough investigation into the matter.
