Akshay’s character in the upcoming film OMG 2 was initially portrayed as Lord Shiva but later it was modified to that of a messenger of the Hindu God. Vivek Agnihotri argues that these changes are unwarranted and believes that CBFC should not have the power to dictate such creative decisions.

CBFC’s Role and Vulnerability

In an interview with India.com, Vivek Agnihotri questions the role of CBFC and its susceptibility to external pressures.

He believes that the recent alterations in films are a result of societal and religious pressures, reflecting a vulnerability within the CBFC to succumb to these pressures:
