15-Year-Old Boy Fatally Injured in Javelin Accident!!

Date:

In a devastating turn of events, a 15-year-old boy lost his life during a practice session at an INT English School in Maharashtra’s Raigad district. The incident, which occurred on a seemingly ordinary Wednesday afternoon, sent shockwaves through the school community and beyond.

The Unfortunate Incident

The victim, Hujefa Daware, met with a tragic accident during a routine javelin throwing practice session. What started as a routine practice quickly turned into a nightmare when a javelin, hurled by another student, struck him in the head.

The Sequence of Events

On that fateful day, students at the Purar, Goregaon-based school were diligently preparing for a taluka-level meet, and Delaware was an integral part of the javelin team. As the practice session was underway, tragedy struck in a matter of seconds. Delaware, while innocently tying his shoelaces, was oblivious to the impending danger. The javelin, a long stick with a pointed end, was hurtling towards him, and he had no time to react.

A Tragic Outcome

The consequences were catastrophic. When Daware bent down to tie his shoelaces, the javelin pierced his head, leaving him severely injured and bleeding profusely. Despite immediate efforts to provide medical assistance, the young boy tragically succumbed to his injuries on the spot. The school ground, where the incident took place, was soon transformed into a scene of unimaginable sorrow.

Investigation Underway

The Goregaon police have taken cognizance of the incident and have registered a case of accidental death. They are currently investigating whether there was any negligence on the part of the student who threw the javelin. In an effort to shed more light on the incident, the police have requested access to the CCTV footage from the school’s security cameras, including those covering the playground.
