A rising star in Indian cinema, Jiah Khan is a name that is familiar to many. She achieved popularity, prosperity, and controversy throughout her life. Jiah Khan, a well-known character in the entertainment sector, had a brief but significant career and made a lasting impression on Bollywood. This theoretical analysis provides a detailed account of what actually took her life.

She was discovered dead in her family’s apartment at the young age of 25. Two of Bollywood’s most prominent families are now at odds with one another over the issue of whether the incident was a suicide or murder.

Jiah Khan intended to binge-watch Game of Thrones that evening in Mumbai on June 3, 2013. In order to welcome her youngest sister, Kavita, who was arriving at 3 a.m. on a flight from Heathrow, the 25-year-old British Bollywood star wanted to stay up late.

Jiah had gone shopping that day and purchased some gold jewelry for Kavita. Before the flight, the sisters continuously texted one another. The real reason for Jiah Khan’s passing will be examined in this article.

Jiah Khan Cause of Death

Suicide has been ruled out as Jiah Khan’s genuine cause of death. Around nine o’clock at night, Jiah’s mother, Rabbiya Khan, left her by herself in the family’s apartment in the posh seaside community of Juhu so she could eat dinner with friends. She called Jiah on her mobile at 9.37 p.m. She made the normal motherly remarks about not forgetting to eat.

Jiah passed away less than two hours later. At 11.20 p.m., Rabbiya arrived home to discover her daughter hanging from a fan in the apartment’s spare bedroom. She had a warm body. Jiah vanished as Rabbiya clung to her ankles to sustain herself while screaming for aid. Kavita’s phone began to ring “like crazy” after her flight touched down in Mumbai, according to her.

Local police informed the media that the case appeared to be a suicide while the forensics team was still inside working. A story began to take shape based on every myth about unhappy starlets: she was melancholy, her boyfriend had broken up with her, and she was having problems surviving in a brutal industry that lived on a constant stream of new, attractive faces.

None of her family members, including her mother Rabbiya, sisters Karishma and Kavita, or her German stepfather Thomas Puppendahl, initially thought she had committed suicide.

The case’s developments have consistently been a subject of mystery in India. Jiah did not leave a suicide note, but Kavita discovered a six-page letter written in her handwriting a week after she passed away. Although it was anonymous and undated, the letter’s contents identified its recipient as her 22-year-old boyfriend, Sooraj Pancholi.

He was an ambitious actor who had been seeing Jiah for nine months. He was the son of the well-known Bollywood couple Aditya Pancholi and Zarina Wahab. Following the letter’s verification, the local Mumbai police detained Sooraj and accused him of aiding her suicide. The next month, he was granted bail and released. When Rabbiya requested that the Bombay High Court transfer the matter to India’s Central Bureau of Investigation in July 2014, his trial was postponed.

ANI posted an official tweet, which can be seen below.

Jiah’s death was ruled “suicidal in nature” by the CBI, which conducted its own inquiry and confirmed the Mumbai police’s first conclusion. Rabbiya has never stopped challenging the official account of what happened. She claimed that CBI agents had “deliberately distorted certain information” in an open letter to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in September.

She has openly charged Sooraj with participating in the crime. The Pancholis, powerful figures in Bollywood, retaliated by filing a £12 million defamation lawsuit against her and making claims that Jiah was “emotionally unstable” and had previously attempted suicide. However, the sessions court acquitted Sooraj Pancholi afterward.
