In Aizawl, Mizoram, 17 persons were killed when an indirect railway bridge fell. The incident took place in the Sairang region.
The police estimate that there were between 35 and 40 people in the neighborhood when the event occurred.
All of these persons are probably lost in the depths of the archives. The incident occurred at 10 a.m. in the valley, 21 kilometers from Aizawl. All of the deceased have been compensated up to this point. Efforts are also being made to bring in a wider audience.

Sabyasachi, chief public relations officer for Frontier Railway, said that relief and rescue operations had been launched and that searches had been made to recruit railway officers.
