Police have been arrested in this case

Seven police officers, commanded by a head constable and armed with two semi-automatic rifles (SLR), were transporting Jagheena and Vijaypal from Jaipur to Bharatpur concerning a murder case from 2022.

According to SP of Bharatpur Mridul Kachchawa, doctors at RBM government hospital in Bharatpur pronounced Jagheena dead, while Vijaypal is in serious condition.

Meanwhile, police say they’ve retrieved a vehicle and identified the suspects using footage from a nearby surveillance camera.

Dausa and other adjacent municipalities’ police forces have been notified, and thorough highway checks are underway.

Additional Commissioner of Police (Administration) for Jaipur, Rahul Prakash, described the incident, saying numerous shots were fired at Jagheena and the police officers could shield Vijaypal from the attackers. He explained that the police crew refrained from firing to ensure the safety of the bus’s occupants.

An investigation will be conducted, and disciplinary measures will be taken if any police officer is found to have been negligent, the officer stated.
