On Tuesday, an official from New Delhi’s Border Security Force (BSF) stated that a soldier had been suspended after being accused of abusing a local lady at a grocery store in troubled Manipur last week.

Head constable Satish Prasad, dressed in his combat gear and carrying an INSAS gun, was caught on camera reportedly abusing a woman, and the video quickly went viral online.

An official with the BSF stated that the event was reported on July 20 in the Imphal West area. The paramilitary force investigated the accusation, and the trooper was suspended the same day the report was received.
