A video showing hundreds of Pakistanis in Dubai’s Burj Khalifa unhappy and angry when the building failed to fly their flag at midnight on Independence Day has gone viral online.
Hundreds of Pakistanis can be seen in the video queuing around the Burj Khalifa at midnight for it to be illuminated in the colors of the Pakistani flag.
Even though it was minutes after midnight, no projection was made on the tallest structure in the world. The angry crowd began chanting, “Pakistan Zindabad,” to express loyalty to their country.
Video Shows Disappointment Among Pakistanis After Incident
A female voice can be heard saying, “The time is 12:01 am now and the Dubai officials have informed that Pakistan’s national flag will not be displayed on Burj Khalifa.”
The video was reportedly recorded on a mobile phone. This is now our official status.”

Despite the presence of many Pakistanis, the country’s flag has been hoisted upside down on Burj Khalifa. And the second one is from March 2017.

Despite the abundance of Pakistanis in attendance, the country’s flag has not been flown atop the Burj Khalifa. She expressed her sadness at the joke performed on the people of Pakistan.

In the footage, onlookers can leave the scene in dismay after being let down by the Burj Khalifa’s failure to glow in the hue of the Pakistani flag. Things, however, turned out in the opposite direction.
