Afghan Taliban Reacted to the World Cup Win Over Pakistan With Gunfire

Afghanistan stunned Pakistan in the 22nd World Cup encounter. Afghanistan comfortably reached 283 in one over. India defeated Pakistan by 8 wickets at Chinnaswamy Stadium in Chennai. Afghanistan has never won an ODI against Pakistan. Afghanistan also beat World Cup champion England. Afghanistan celebrates its historic win against Pakistan. Kabul people are shooting in the streets.

This issue has also been addressed by the Taliban.

Afghanistan defeated Pakistan by 8 wickets in the Cricket World Cup 2023 on Monday, resuming their campaign. Pakistan’s semi-final aspirations are threatened with the loss. Afghanistan’s maiden ODI triumph against Pakistan was celebrated in Kabul. Many celebratory videos are viral on social media. Crackers and gunfire are seen throughout the capital.

At least 15 minutes after the match, Kabul was filled with gunshots, cheers, and fireworks, according to AFP. Afghanistan’s triumph comes amid tight political and diplomatic tensions between the neighbors.

Afghanistan’s World Cup win is historic

First, 18-year-old leg spinner Noor Ahmed bowled an efficient 3-49 in his first World Cup. He fired Babar Azam and striker Mohammad Rizwan. Afghanistan handily beat Pakistan’s 282 runs. 21-year-old opener Ibrahim Zadran hit 87 runs and Rahmanullah Gurbaz 65 to add 130 runs for the first wicket. With this solid combination, the team won easily by eight wickets.

Taliban member Khalid Zadran tweeted, “Our cricket team won a historic match. Many said it was impossible, yet we won. Our win sends a message to some “We’re ahead of the competition. Look at us but don’t worry.”
The Taliban Prime Minister’s Office Chief of Staff congratulated the Afghanistan cricket team on its historic X triumph. The post says Afghanistan beat Pakistan in cricket. Congratulations to our cricket team, board, and Afghans on this victory.”
