In response to the allegations made by Revenue Minister Atishi, Divisional Commissioner Ashwani Kumar stated that he had spoken with her and accused her of attempting to engage in politics.

Responding to Atishi’s allegations regarding the release of water from the Hathnikund Barrage by the Haryana government, Ashwani Kumar stated that the water release was within normal parameters. He clarified that no intentional increase in the water flow would have caused further flooding in Delhi.
Kumar acknowledged the scarcity of washroom facilities at relief camps, attributing it to the utilization of these facilities by Kanwar Yatris. He assured that efforts are being made to address the issue and improve conditions for everyone affected by the floods.
