India has voiced its severe disapproval of the posters that depict violence against Indian diplomats in Canada. As seen below, India called in the Canadian High Commissioner in New Delhi and issued a demarche to the government of Justin Trudeau.

Sources say that on Monday, India voiced concern over threats against its ambassadors in connection with posters advertising a pro-Khalistan rally in Canada on July 8. The Indian Embassy and Consulate General in Toronto, Canada, were targets of the threatening posters.

Posters allegedly distributed by Sikh extremists blame Indian High Commissioner Sanjay Kumar Verma and Indian Consul General Apoorva Srivastava for the June killing of Khalistan Tiger Force chief and designated terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar.

On June 18, a gunfight occurred in Surrey, Canada, killing a Khalistani terrorist named Harjit Singh Nijjar, also known as Hardeep Singh Nijjar. On July 8, a demonstration will be held in his honor.

The Canadian foreign minister has stated, “We bear the responsibility for the security of diplomats.”

Because of some undesirable posters that have surfaced with the scheduled protests on July 8 in Canada, Canadian Foreign Minister Melanie Jolie has stated that her country communicates with Indian authorities. Some of India’s prominent diplomats and public figures are featured on these posters.

Melanie Jolie said in a statement she tweeted that Canada takes its protection of diplomats under the Vienna Convention very seriously. Due to online misinformation about the planned rallies, Canada has constantly contacted Indian authorities.

Jaishankar said: Canada, Britain, and Australia should not let Khalistanis.

External Affairs Minister Jaishankar said, “We have requested our partner countries like Canada, the UK, Australia, US to stop these Khalistanis.” “Do not give place to These radical extremist ideologies are not good.”

New Delhi severely denounced an Ontario tableau procession honoring the killing of former PM Indira Gandhi earlier this month. Khalistan advocates rallied outside the Canadian Indian Embassy in March. They shouted pro-Khalistan slogans and assaulted Indian journalists.
