Up: Muslim Man Brutally Thrashed for Sitting With Hindu Woman in Bareilly Temple!!

Date:

Some residents in Bareilly, assuming the couple was “involved in love jihad,” brutally attacked them on September 19. The man and his friend had gone to the temple in an attempt to locate the friend’s lost sister.

There was a sign posted that read “Muslims not allowed” at the temple. A video that went viral showed a group of men beating a man in his early 30s on the suspicion that he was engaging in “love jihad,” despite the fact that the woman who was with him at the time (aged 28) and her sister (aged 22) begged the men to see reason and explained that they were, in fact, friends.

They inhabit the same area as the temple

They are locals of the area surrounding the shrine. The alleged footage surfaced online on Monday, a full day after the Saturday night incident in the Quila neighborhood.

Police also let the man from the minority group go

Four suspects were held and later freed after being booked under Criminal Procedures Code section 151. After almost three hours in custody, police also freed the man from the minority group.

Arrest warrants have been issued for two named suspects and several others on suspicion of assaulting the couple.

On Monday, SP (city) Rahul Bhati said, “We registered a non-cognizable report under IPC section 323 (voluntarily causing hurt) against two identified and a few unidentified persons for assaulting the couple.”
