Mumbai, [Date]: A catastrophic event unfolded on the Bandra-Worli Sea Link in Mumbai on Thursday, marking a dark day in the city’s traffic history. In a chilling sequence of events, a speeding car caused a massive collision involving six vehicles, leading to the tragic loss of three lives and leaving several others injured.

The Harrowing Incident

The accident occurred when a car, speeding from Worli towards Bandra, lost control and collided with multiple vehicles just 100 meters before the toll plaza on the sea link. “Around 10:15 pm, the vehicle headed north from Worli towards Bandra collided with a vehicle. After colliding, the car sped up and hit 2-3 vehicles at the toll plaza,” stated Zone 9 DCP Krishnakant Upadhyay to ANI. This horrifying moment resulted in a chain reaction of crashes involving a total of six vehicles.

The Grim Toll

The aftermath of the crash was devastating. Out of nine injured individuals, three succumbed to their injuries, while two others are in critical condition. “A total of nine people have been injured, out of which three have died. Six people are under treatment, with two in critical condition,” DCP Upadhyay added. A Day of Mishaps

Earlier the same day, Mumbai witnessed two more accidents, though with less severe outcomes. A luxury bus en route from Goa veered off the road near Kolhapur, luckily resulting in no injuries. However, the traffic was briefly disrupted. Additionally, two individuals lost their lives on the Samruddhi Expressway in the Buldhana district when a truck collided with a private bus stopped for tire inspection.
