Afghan Taliban Reacted to the World Cup Win Over Pakistan With Gunfire

Afghanistan stunned Pakistan in the 22nd World Cup encounter. Afghanistan comfortably reached 283 in one over. India defeated Pakistan by 8 wickets at Chinnaswamy Stadium in Chennai. Afghanistan has never won an ODI against Pakistan. Afghanistan also beat World Cup champion England. Afghanistan celebrates its historic win against Pakistan. Kabul people are shooting in the streets.

At least 15 minutes after the match, Kabul was filled with gunshots, cheers, and fireworks, according to AFP. Afghanistan’s triumph comes amid tight political and diplomatic tensions between the neighbors.

Afghanistan’s World Cup win is historic

First, 18-year-old leg spinner Noor Ahmed bowled an efficient 3-49 in his first World Cup. He fired Babar Azam and striker Mohammad Rizwan. Afghanistan handily beat Pakistan’s 282 runs. 21-year-old opener Ibrahim Zadran hit 87 runs and Rahmanullah Gurbaz 65 to add 130 runs for the first wicket. The Taliban Prime Minister’s Office Chief of Staff congratulated the Afghanistan cricket team on its historic X triumph. The post says Afghanistan beat Pakistan in cricket. Congratulations to our cricket team, board, and Afghans on this victory.”
