4 Killed In Jaipur-Mumbai Express Train Shooting, RPF Constable Held

An RPF constable on the Jaipur-Mumbai Express train opened fire, killing four passengers, including an ASI RPF. Reportedly, an RPF constable fired into a moving passenger train near Palghar.

On Monday, July 31 at approximately 5:23 a.m., an incident occurred in coach B5 of train 12956. The destination of the train was Mumbai, and it left Jaipur.

The accused RPF officer, identified as Chetan, has been taken into custody. According to reports, four persons were murdered in the shooting incident, including an RPF ASI.

Chetan, who was on escort duty, shot ASI Tika Ram Meena, who was in command of the escorts. The officer protected the train as it traveled from Surat to Mumbai.

The DRM of Mumbai, Neeraj Verma, informed the media of the tragic incident and added that the deceased people’s families had been notified.

Officer Chetan Kumar, who pulled the trigger that killed four persons, dropped to the ground near Dahisar and fled before being apprehended by RPF/Bhayandar. A full report will be submitted to DCP North GRP as the investigation is complete.
